so you may be asking yourself: “why should i care?” well, frankly, you shouldn’t.

as i have mentioned before, i’m sure my blog won’t provide much value for you, unless of course, you’re obsessed with me… but to be honest, i don’t write this stuff for you, i write it for me.

i’ve never really kept any physical evidence of my life in the past. i’m 27 years old and i don’t have any photographs or journals or scrapbooks or writings… or any physical objects that produce some kind of emotional response or reaction. i used to think that my memory would always have my back, but as i get older, it seems to fail me more and more.

this is where this site comes in to play. so theoretically, when i’m older i can muse over these writings, these feelings and ideas and remember where i came from… and hope to use that information to make better choices about where i’m heading. so if you’re still interested in what i have planned for this site, feel free to keep reading.

biography page
so i am pretty sure that the biography post has had it’s day in the sun and no one else will comment on it… i am happy with the response it has received, yet a little disappointed that some of my good friends have yet to leave their mark on it. anyway, i am gonna start putting together the biography page. it will be dynamic in the sense that i will update it as my life takes me where ever it sees fit.

music page
it will be launched on the last day of january 2007 along with the release of the first installment in the promo mix series! mixes will be released on the last day of each month in 2007 and will be used for promotional purposes… ie. showcase my dj “skills” and versatility in regards to music selection. each month will feature a different style of music ranging from downtempo, to various flavors of house music, drum and bass, jungle, breakbeats, garage, etc.

lo-fi versions will be available to stream (and download) directly from the music page. but wait, before the boo’ing and hissing commences, there’s a good reason (actually two) for only providing lo-fi versions on the site.

the first is storage capacity. i wish it was unlimited, but it’s not. a good friend of mine hosts this site for free, and beggars can’t be choosers, so there.

the second reason is this: i will be offering full, uncompressed cd versions of all these mixes… completely tracked out, with covers, liner notes and printed labels mailed directly to you, all for a small donation… over the past 12 years that i have been dj’ing i’ve spent literally tens of thousands of dollars on music, equipment, etc., so if you really like the music, i feel it’s not too much to ask for a couple bucks for all my hard work.

the first cd will have somewhat of a progressive/electro/dancey house feel to it, so stay tuned, only a couple more days until the last day of january! that is all for now :)
